Tumalo was on the list...but we got rain the only day we had to get there. I'VE GOT TO MOVE OUT OF NY
I'm now deciding between a workshop in Moab or another trip to Bend in May...... I'VE GOT TO MOVE OUT OF NY!

Hard to go wrong in a lot of place here in the west. I also checked Bend out before moving here to Reno, I just liked Reno better...;0)

In about 4 years DW and I will be retiring. It's looking like Medford, Or. will be our retirement town. So close to lots of great things in Oregon. Including Crater Lake which we really enjoyed. We want to see it in the winter.
Too bad you got rained out on your one day. Definitely go back. Worth another trip.

Beautiful! My photography class takes a field trip to Oregon every year. I have not gotten to go yet. Teacher says, "People that ask why you would go to Oregon to take pictures....have never been."

You teacher is right. If you get the chance....grab it. Amazing. Whatever you want is less than 2 hours away....no matter where you are. Seaside, mountains, high desert, rain forrest....amazing terrain. You can even get a desert shot AND the white cap mountain in the same shot!

Wow!! I gotta go...only thing is I have to get my husband on board. The only way to do that is with big game animals. Not to hunt necessarily but to see.

OK, this thread convinced me, my next photography outing will be in Oregon. I am calculating the mileage. Weather forcast is only 10% chance of rain Friday and Saturday this week. I must go on those days, but where in Oregon? The great thing about Oregon is that the clouds are different each day.
I had some fun with this. I am glad many of you find Oregon a great photography place.

I live 30 miles south of Bend, lived here for 21 years now, Bend has grown like crazy but I'm thankful to live in such a beautiful area even when we have a bad winter.
