Why dose my Adobe CC Subscription for PS / LR ....

I recently signed up for the Adobe CC PS / LR. It was a long process with some guy from "India". (He was very patient, I will say that)
After a successful download of PS / LR I noticed that the LR version that I now have says: "Light Room 5" upon start up. I thought I would have the latest version of LR?
I looked under "Photo" for the "Merge HDR", and there is no Photo Merge at all.
I went to the help screen, and it says the program is up to date...not updates available.
Please tell me I do not have to spend another 90 min. in India!
What do I do now? Thanks, Boone.
I just went to the store and bought the discs.

Go to the upper right on your computer(thats where it is on my Mac) and click on the Adobe icon. It's a squiggle thing that looks like a cloud. It should open and give you a list of Adobe activity on your machine. See if it lists Lightroom CC (2015) When I updated it did not show the new icon until I dragged it into place. It also does not delete old versions of LR. You can also check your applications list to see if it is listed there.

Somewhere there is a list of the programs running on your machine. Look at Adobe and what is listed under that to find out what you actually have loaded. If you do indeed have the new version listed there then you have to instruct your machine to open with that version instead of 5.

Thanks cmc65! I checked my program files, and under Adobe CC there is a update to LR 5 indicated. (LR 5 is the only version listed in my program files)
I will install that update later today. That will most likely fix all.
However, Adobe PS 2014 is listed, and works fine. So I imagine LR 5 will update to LR 6 when I complete the installation of the update.
I have no idea why I didn't think of that??? Dah...!
Thanks again for the brain warp correction!!! Thanks, Boone.

I don't think so. Lightroom 6 is a stand alone version and is limited in scope. The subscription $10/month PS and LR cc 2015 is different. There is a disconnect here.
You should have an app on you computer called "Adobe Creative Cloud". It manages the subscription. I still have LR5 on my computer so both Lightroom 5 and Lightroom CC show up. With the cloud package, Adobe does not call it Lightroom 6.

bsprague, I did find the "Adobe Creative Cloud" and followed the trail to the Apps downloads. I had no problem from there on. I now have the latest version of LR (6) on my system and all is now up to date. (including PS)
Thanks to all for the assistance! Much appreciated I assure you!!!!!
Thanks very much for all the reply's. All is once again well in the "Ground Hog Town"! LOL
Thanks, Boone.

When you install CC it does not over write your old programs but adds another program to the list. If you keep opening the old program then you will always get the old program. Look for the link to the new CC programs. Sorry I can't tell you where it is but it is there somewhere.
