If one does not understand why...
I refuse a leash like phone or beeper, now you know.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-17447086When will it become a probe up someone's neither region to make them answer the call of some telemarketer if you refuse the call?
I am all for progress but there are limits, one of them being the human body modified for someone else convenience.

Oh Wolfie, wouldn't it be for your own convenience? Stupid, insane, ridiculous, but convenient?
Convenient or deeply intrusive here?
The only phone call (that I do not want to hear) is from the guy next more to tell me my house is on fire. The rest can always wait. Modernization of telecommunications and the advent of computing and internet made us dependent and reactive. Not good.

says the guy from under a rock...lol
Well, under my rock, I am living with the seasons, enjoy every moment and activity w/o being interrupted by some ass who wants to know how to fix his computer after visiting a hacking site...
Yeah, I am an IT guy, just not willing to become a freaking slave just because some guy thinks I have to drop everything to help him after his stupid actions.
So, yeah, happy to be under a rock, especially that I have good company with me.
I have walked out of dinners or social gathering because folks text or use their freaking phones. If they want to be somewhere else go there, don't stay. In the mean time, I express my disfavor by walking out.
To each his own. Mine is freedom from interference. I can afford it because I don't care.

I think your avatar needs to smile...I mean, he can't be that snarly all the time, can he?
I always thought Wolf's avatar was smiling, Cyn. Maybe it's my monitor...

The proverbial mark of the beast, hhmmm???? Leave me out. I won't even have call waiting because I hate being put on hold. If you call me or I call you, that's what I'm doing at the moment and talking to you is the most important thing I have to do. It freaks people out when they call and get a busy signal at my house. They always think my phone is out of order until I explain.
Leave avatar as is....I'm in love with your avatar. He makes my mornings brighter because at least one person on this forum is in a better mood than I am first thing in the morning!!! :)

This is one time I have to take sides with the English Wolf. What they are talking about in that article is totally crazy.

The funny part about an avatar... (different topic that mixes observation and psychology)
