PHYSICS PROFESSOR TELLS STUDENTS SCIENTIFIC EVIDENCE POINTS TO A DESIGNER
"A physics professor at the University of Oklahoma who often spends his time studying smashed subatomic particles at the Large Hadron Collider at CERN laboratory in Switzerland has another hobby smashing the notion that all scientists believe the universe was created by some sort of cosmic accident."
"In historical times, he said, all scientists believed in God, and it was only more recently, within the last 200 years or so, that science based on the assumption there is no creator has dominated the field."
"If everything in the universe came into being, then the cause of the universe must be transcendent, not a part of this universe, Strauss argued. Science kind of stumbled onto something that the Bible declared long ago
that the universe had a beginning.
Strauss also brought up evidence for the existence of God by citing the apparent design of the universe, noting the amount of matter in the universe, the strength of its strong nuclear force, and the formation of carbon is so finely tuned that if any of these parameters were modified in the slightest, human life could not exist. Strauss stated there are about 100 similar finely tuned parameters."

More rac crap. Keep looking rac.
some people are so stupid....
they can't even believe science.
I'll bet your professor can accurately pick last weeks lottery numbers too
then go on to explain how the old lady in anytown USA, who played her cats birthday every draw for 20 years finally miraculously all came together in what can only be the hand of god in making those kittens from a long line of cats and strays from ancient Egypt lineage, and then all ending up at her house
as the only plausible explanation of her winnings.
The universe is miraculous, however, if it was different, and an intelligent being was too look back, in its universe that we would not recognize
he might wonder at how he became and look to someone to blame it on., not believing it could be chance.
Like the impossible pool shot, if the player didn't call it
its chance. Hindsight is 20/20
if your professors and priests and whoever want to do something truly amazing
pick next weeks lottery numbers
but explain why first, otherwise
it's just blind luck.

So do you posit a theory as to how the universe began, or can you just call others stupid for putting one forth?

Science and the Bible say that it was by intelligent design.
Some people chose to not believe the Bible. (bad choice MHO)
Now they also deny the evidence of science.
No one who doesn't believe the Bible and/or science has ever "put forth" a theory of the beginning of the universe.

So were you calling OP "stupid" or the guy in the article?

maybe it's me, I thought I was very clear....
don't believe the Bible - your choice
don't believe science - pretty stupid

You can believe in both true interpretations of science and the bible as well as Intelligent Design.
