Isn't Martinique where the Pelee volcano is? Could be some interesting shots there. There is an interesting reference on Wikipedia. It erupted in 1902 and destroyed the town of Saint-Pierre, killing about 30,000 people. One would think there would be a museum there that could be interesting.

There is a museum in St. Pierre, with good anchoring offshore. From my boat I photoed early morning fishermen throwing nets into the surf. The island is known for how the locals all dress up in town.
