Miss Nancy's Back Yard
May 16, 2015 23:04:03   #
Dewman Loc: SW Idaho

The lady who lives at the end of the block always has a beautiful yard, so today I asked if I could take some photos of her flowers and shrubs. She said, "Sure.... but the back yard is better!" Holy cow!.... she wasn't just kidding!.... it was beautiful! Unfortunately, the wind was blowing like crazy today and it was overcast, so the photos suffered accordingly because of it. But, if the weather cooperates, I'm going to go back tomorrow and tackle it again!

Taken with a Pentax K-50 using a SMC Pentax-FA 100mm f:2.8 macro lens. ISO 800 with various SS and f: stops.

Beautiful photos!!! I think you got some really great shots even with the wind problem. I'll be looking forward to your next batch.

Thanks, LMP. Hopefully tomorrow the wind will have died down. I know what I did wrong on a couple of the shots, so hopefully I can rectify my mistakes.

Thank you, Sylvia. There was much more to photograph, but the wind was so discouraging that I finally said "Aw, the heck with it!" and went home.... but, tomorrow is another opportunity!

Looks like your neighbor has the yard of my dreams. Beautiful shots in spite of conditions.

Every photographer should have a neighbor like this. How wonderful to have so much beauty to choose from. Excellent job. Your neighbor can be proud of how her flowers have been captured.
