The "streak" patterns are actually a set of dots, and are identical, except for color.

Donno. But hey, that is a really nice result! I went right past the streaks and got lost in the galaxies.
Beautiful!

Thank you Douglass, SonnyE, and Craig appreciate the comments. On to another distance galaxy with hopefully better results.

This is the time of year that many galaxies are visible. Good work!
I have no idea what those vertical streaks are. I have never seen that before.

I have seen this with Registax. It appears to be part of the stacking that doesn't get cleaned out for whatever reason. On one of mine, the stack was good except for these little what I call alignment dots, and I photo shopped them out.
Kind of like stacker droppings.

Cool shot! I can get lost in images like this.
I suspect the streaks may be processing artifacts. Easy to ps out.

If i had to guess the streaks are an artifact of stacking without removing the stuck pixels. Unless you notice them in single frames. I have only seen them in my own images if I forgot to remove both hot and cold pixels before stacking.

either way it looks like they would be fairly easy to clean up in photoshop with minimal amount of work. I think you did great pulling a large amount of data out of the galaxies
