4x5 film is still readily available in B&W, color C-41, and even E6.

YES~

In fact, older emulsions are being revived, as well as some new ones being introduced. Also, remember that 8X10, an even more popular format, can be cut to 4X5, thereby reducing sheet cost.

Daylight processing gear and chemicals are available.

Lastly.... a sheet of 4X5 is 13 times the area of Full Frame, and yields, when scanned, a digital file between 400 and 600 megapixels.

This friend shoots 4X5 (has for years, still does). Most of his scenes are Oregon. Lives in central Oregon.

Bruce Jackson:

Put this kit on APUG or other large format forum and I suspect it will not last the day at that price. The last 5 large format camera's I have sold on eBay... and only the cameras alone with no lenses sold for $500. Four of them shipped to Federation of Russia. All individual and separate buyers.

You are possibly quite underpriced? Particularly looking closely at that price and all accessories. That's a "put film in and go shooting" kit.

I see about $800 worth of equipment if sold separately. The Grafmatic is popular by itself and the lens alone if clear and shutter working well is worth 25% of the asking price.

I'd snap this up, but I just sent the money off for a Fuji X-E2 and lens.

Yes. Take any of those at the high end for condition appearance of this one.

Now Add:

$100 or more for the Grafmatic if it works. It's very popular
$100 for the 120 6X9 roll film back
$100 or more for the case and boxes of film (likely expired but perhaps usable.. I shoot some very old 4X5 with good results)
Film holders at $10 each... looks like 6-8.

Trust me, it's a hell of a deal for $500 for someone getting into large format, and notwithstanding it's historical back story, it has enough movements to learn some sophisticated large format, AND it's one of the easiest camera's to learn LF.

Man... maybe I'll cancel the X-E2.... but I pondered that one to death.

$100 Plus for the flash unit. That looks like the one used converted to make the light sabers in Star Wars The Movie, years ago. Those sell repeatedly for $150 to $200 at Star Wars events and eBay.

I have a COMPLETE Graflex Grown Graphic 4"x5" Press camera kit available. It is in Excellent condition throughout and the bellows look like brand new. It comes with everything you need to start shooting Large OR Medium format film except the film itself!

One Crown Graphic body
One Schneider-Kreuznach Xenar 135mm F4.7 lens w/Compur-P shutter
One 4x5 Pack film back
One "23" Graphic back for 120 roll film
One ground glass focussing back
Seven dual sided film holders
One Kalart Synchronized Range Finder
One Heiland Synchronar flash unit with mount and cables.
Two flash bulb adaptors with many flash bulbs
Genuine original Graflex carrying case for all
Lots of filters, straps, parts, manuals and miscellaneous items in the case.

This gear comes from a professional photographer who did all the local shooting for the Western Livestock Reporter out of Billings, MT. He retired in the 1990's after a career of almost 40 years of shooting for that newspaper and for many news agencies worldwide. He has asked me to sell all his old gear for him. This is one of the nicest Crown Graphics I have ever seen and the complete kit makes this a bargain at his asking price of $500. I can ship through the store and get a good rate for the buyer. I will not ship outside the lower 48 states though.

I will post several pics here and if you have any questions, feel free to write or call.

If I had not just purchased your Koni-Omega I would jump on this one (tempted anyway!). For anyone unfamiliar with Carter, several UHH members have purchased from him, all report 100% satisfaction, and I am pleased to be added to the list.
