Via Google, I found that Adorama has one for $899 and B&H has one for $949.95. Both stores are "just down the street" from Lebanon. Take your pick.

Yeah, I know. Already searched, ebay, keh, etc. Thinking perhaps I can find someone here who doesn't use theirs any more. :-)

The lens is relatively current and it sounds like you really WANT one. Odds are anybody who has one isn't likely to be putting theirs out at a garage sale price. Adorama is offering $250 off (nearly 21%). While you stall waiting for some pie-in-the-sky bonanza, someone else will jump on the Adorama offer and leave you lensless. Respectfully, that's just my opinion.

Respectively, I am not looking for a "garage sale price", never said I was, but rather I am offering the opportunity to any one on uhh who may have the lens and just not really wanting it any more. I could certainly just buy it "retail" but I know that at times, someone will buy something that they find out, they really don't want/need.
I have purchased 2 lenses on uhh this way, so I figured I'd give it another try. I'd rather give my money directly to another Individual rather than a company. It's as simple as that.
