The sun hadn't been up long and was still rising. The picture of the blue sky was taken a little later.

I think the asymmetrical composition (eye-magnet low and to the right, smooth but not overwhelming sweep up to the left) is a nice tweak to the standard sunrise/sunset look. Nice crop, which enhances the composition well. Well seen.

The picture wasn't cropped. Nothing was done to the picture. That's the way it was when I took the picture through my windshield with my Canon PowerShot S95. I was just lucky. I saw something I liked and took the picture. Thanks for your comments.

Actually, I guess one would have to say that every photo is cropped. I often try to crop (compose) in the camera ... not that I'm always successful. It still takes vision.
