Hello all, I got back from Hawaii and I have been going through my (about 800) pictures and thought I would share a few. Due to a very slow download it will take time, but tonight I am going to try and post some of the cool waves I shot over there. I hope you like them. Open for comments
Beach on Maui
Surfer
Heavy Surf
Wipe out
This one is in HDR tomemapped to draw out some color because it was kind of dull due to it being overcast there. All the above are straight off my camera
No 1 has fantastic color - but I would suggest a polarizer to saturate the ocean and other things. Great shots
Beautiful photos! Great composition.
Nice job.

I definitely agree with Phyllis.
I find timing when shooting surf is tricky. Are these great surf shapes the result of your shooting technique, and/or the best lucky captures of the 800?
I love the ocean, and I love your pictures! Thanks for sharing!

Thank you. DanthephotoMAN, LeeG, Phyllis, Vinniepicts, and Ana Chapa
Hawaii is so beautiful and I took quite a few pictures of just the waves but these were some the ones I liked best. I am just learning all the functions of my camera and there were some I dumped right away because my ISO was open to high. Now that I got back and saw what it was, and how washed out the pictures came out, I am more able to understand it's function. I was using the automatic settings for most of the pictures that did come out and I set it on multipal shots so I could freeze the waves. I want to learn how to do it in manual but like I say I have to learn by example.
Love the wave crashing on the photo you entitled Surfer.
