Excellent shots Swampy....great detail! That second one thinks he is a dandy strutting down the boardwalk! All he needs is a top hat and Cain.

Thanks Jack, and really appreciate the three thumps up and for you looking!
Your photos are amazing.I love to photograph the wood duck but for some reason we don't have as many as we use to here in this part of Ohio.
Wow Corky, these are some great shots of a beautiful creature. You really captured the color and detail. Some very fine work!

Thanks for looking Maryling and so glad you liked. Maybe it's its a lack of suitable nesting sites, If you live in a rural area, maybe a nest box with a good predator shield would help, My neighbor just purchased several precut wooden nest box kits that you just fasten together. I ask him about the plastic boxes that I have frequently seen mounted, and he mentioned some information about them getting two hot.

Thanks so much for looking Doc and very glad that you liked them. We have only seen one or two dragonflies around the house so far, but went upriver a few miles to where the river is dammed and saw more, for some reason. The only thing different that I know of around here is that the Purple Martins seemed to have decided to use a old house that had been vacant for a number of years.
I really hadn't been to upset with them not using the house since I saw a picture of one, with a dragonfly in it's bill! Hope things are going well for you, and thanks again!
