My first Yellow Crowned Night Heron ( YCNH) ....

I was out shooting late today - looking for Otter tracks - and came across this guy ! - Been shooting (wildlife) about 4 years now and this was my first opportunity for a YCNH.
It was 6 PM + and the light LOW so I grabbed the Sony A3000 and Canon 300 2.8 on my steel monopod.
ISO 400, 1/500, f4, 2X CIZ ( effective 600mm) .....shot as JPEG with my standard PP in Elements 9.
