I bought this Pentax K 200D new a 3 to 5 years ago and since new every time I would need to use it for a wedding or Prom and need to take a lot of pictures. I would always put new AA batteries and bring another set for back up. My problem is about 15 pictures into it the camera would not take picture and looking at battery charge would show empty, I would shut camera off and turn on and battery would show full charge. I would do this maybe 5 to 10 times through out the shoot and get frustrated especially when I need to take the special shot and the camera would shoot craps and the wrong time. Thoughts on this issue? Time for new camera or easy fix?

That is always the problem with AA and AAA batteries......has to do with corrosion on head or ass end of battery to contact points......a dab of dielectric compound may help some.....you probably have the same problem with some of your flashlights I am sure......Problem Is these 1.2v units have a problem keeping the juice running to where it's needed......and When it's needed !

Before I invest in more dielectric grease, I want to get first hand reports. :D
