What immediately bothers me about this image is the sky's color and saturation. Mid-day sky never looks like this. At least not on Earth.
With such a huge, impressive sky and those clouds, I think a less detailed foreground would be more powerful. With all the little dots of sagebrush plants, the buildings, and the snow-covered mountains, it's kind of overwhelming.
I agree with rook2c4 about the sky's color not looking natural. However, I live in a dry climate where there are often some mighty impressive dark blue skies that viewers question as being unnatural, so I'm willing to be more flexible about that in this shot :)
One little detail that I'd clean up: that piece of cardboard or wood on left foreground side.

All colors are way over saturated. Composition is not clear as to what the subject is; foreground, cabins, sky or mountains. Reduce the saturation and re-crop. Just the cabins and mountains, with only a little sky make a very nice shot.

I agree that there is too much intensity in the sky - I also think that there is too little color in the foreground. A bit more sharpness overall would help. I didn't spot the cardboard until it was pointed out - its got to go.
Perhaps, my biggest criticism is being unable to determine what the photographer wants me to see. Is it the cabin, the mountains, the sky; I'm really not sure.
What I do like most is the very photogenic scene - it certainly has the potential for a great photograph.
I understand the contest was "big sky" but i think there is too much of the sky. I do like the cloud formation but i believe it would have been more dramatic cutting back on the sky. Showing the cabin as the focal point in the middle of such as a wide open sky.
That sky is amazing. I do agree that it is over saturated, though I have seen skies that are close to that blue. I am not sure that I agree with the crop the sky suggestions, if you do crop it don't crop past the first row of fluff. I do think that a couple steps to the left would have put your barn into a better position. It would have moved it to the right still giving you the leading lines in the clouds leading you to the barn and keeping your mountains.
for me it speaks to wide open spaces
..and agree it's over cooked a bit, and could be cropped using either the rule of thirds/or the golden ratio, it also appears to have some distortion thats easy to deal with in PP by using the lens profile corrections setting
Thank you for all the comments. I agree with most of them and will re-post a new image based on your suggestions.
