Female mallard with a color variation

She is paired with a normal drake mallard but her coloration is much lighter than a normal hen. Her bill is not orange with black blotches but a slate gray. The blue-green wing patches are brown to tan. The over all body color is much lighter. Leucism maybe? Hybridization between two types of waterfowl? I am open to other explanations.

Can't help you with duck IDs, John. I hardly know a Mallard from a Wood Duck. lol These are fantastic shots though, and I'd like to find out the mystery. She's a beauty.

Thanks Rod, There are several Mallard like ducks here and in Europe. The picture you have posted I do not believe it is a Mallard. Maybe a Mottled Duck which is Mallard like and male and female look alike with only having a bill coloration difference. In mallards the hen and drake look nothing alike except the wing patches. My hen is paired with a green head mallard and the saying birds of a feather flock together. It is a good chance she is a mallard with Leucism or a mallard hybrid. Pintails and Mallards mix it up at times and female Pintail lacks color and has a dark bill like my hen.
