Very good, but there was two photos had me baffled..I have seen the Himmler one several times over the years and was led to believe he was inspecting Russian pow's. The other one showing Brazil's captain Pele claims the match was marred by racial tension..it wasn't..it was a mutual greeting of two great footballers (Bobby Moore and Pele) in a great world cup match in 1970, Brazil beat England 1-0 (there isn't a British football team).
So it makes me believe that other captions could be wrong!!
Wow, some of the pictures bring back a lot of memories. Maybe because I have been married to a Marine (60-68) for 46 years. number 36 speaks volumes. Also the Marine and WW2 vet.
I remember seeing a lot of these photos right after they were taken ... but combining them all into a single collection really up the impact of each and every one.
Thank you for the link.

I'm not familiar with the soccer shot, but the Himmler shot is correct:

I typed "himmler confronts russian p.o.w." on google and it throws doubt on the greasley claim!!
The hat worn by the prisoner appears to be a Russian Pilotka hat that was standard issue during the war.
