Adding structure to color images

I use photoshop elements 10, along with NIK software, and I've been very pleased with NIK in processing black and white images. Adding structure is available in several NIK plugins, but I can find no way to add it to color.

Suggestions?

I am not sure I know what you mean so if I missed the boat ask again.

Viveza has the best structure controls in the NIK suite. It works within colors and color ranges so it can be targeted. I also use the tonal contrast filter in color Efex as a "stand-in" for structure sometimes.

Thanks. though I've used color Efex countless times, I've never tried Viveza. Yes, I know............ how could I have NIK and never try all the pieces? :) I took a look at Viveza and it offers a LOT of what I seek. Thanks again for the suggestion.

Here is one video for Viveza. I know there are a lot more. I like it a lot and should use it more than I do.

Thank you, Linda and Minniev,
For your suggestions. I've been spending some time with Viveza 2 and I think it's exactly what I'm looking for.

It's the first of the NIK plugins I got, back in the day when they came individually rather than a suite, and I was elated with it. Like Linda, I probably could benefit from using it more now, but I've begun to lean on the LR tools more since LR has improved so much.

If you are asking what I think you might try the clarity slider in Adobe Camera RAW (ACR). If you use RAW images ACR opens automatically when you go to the editor. If you use jpeg images you need to "open as" a RAW file.

Not sure as I do not use elements but if you have a channels palette and a threshold widow can use layers and know what blend modes are ill write you a tutorial to do it the pro way. Viviza is great and quick. My way is a little slower but more subtle with more control than offered by Viveza.
I sometimes use Viveza so not saying its bad at all just lacks control for certain images.

Used it here. Scroll until you find my shot at the picture. NO HDR WAS ADDED on my attempt just structure and NIK color efex.
