I am looking for a good used D90 or D7000 for a reasonable price. Have seen some on ebay but I'm not sure about buying from ebay?

why not buy from b and h photo ..they always have great deals for used cameras..go for the d7000 ..it is an awesome camera

Adorama has refurbished (by Nikon) D7000 for $500 and used for $400.

ONE MORE THING I PURCHASED MINE D90 FROM HENRY.COM AND D7000 FOR CAMETA.COM NYC... BOTH WONDERFUL CAMERA I PAID FOR D90 USED ONLY 300 DOLLARS .....D7000 I PAID 1200 DOLLARS .... IF YOU CAN GET THE D7000 IS BETTER .....

the 7000 at $500 used is a lot of camera but you might consider expanding your search to include a used D7100 at $650 for even more performance.

I just purchased two of them on ebay for $300 each.Both have less than 1000 actuations. Just do your research and make sure the person has positive feedback. You have 45 days to return anything on ebay and a $2000.00 insurance policy. Ebay is buyers market. They truly protect the buyer.

Henry's is a really good company to deal with.They stand behind what they sell and most of the instore salesperson are accomplished photographers and very helpful.

I've bought from ebay many many times with only 2 incidents, and paypal did remedy one situation quickly and to my satisfaction. Seller did not send item and would not respond to attempts to contact. I got my $$ back. The other incident the item was supposed to be in "as new condition in original box". It was neither. Contacted seller, who was actually an ebay broker, and she quickly responded and refunded and didn't even require me to return item. I've bought a few lenses over the years and have had no problems. Can't say that I've ever bought a camera, but I would be comfortable doing so.
