Anyone know about Cone Ink from Vermont for Epson 3880? It is about 20% cheaper and perhaps better then Epson. What about clogs?

I have not used their inks in a couple of years (on an Epson 4000). While the results were good, I found the paper choices rather limited. This may have changed since then.
You need to run the printer using their RIP, which costs $50; again things may have changed since I last used them. Setup is not for the faint of heart; old inks need to be flushed out before installing Cone's ink. If you can dedicate a printer to them, it makes sense.
Personally, I have found OEM inks quite satisfactory.
My 2 cents.

Forgot to add that clogs were not an issue.

I've tried several non-manufacturer inks and never had a clog. Very often, I didn't like the color. I don't print enough that the cost difference is an issue so I use Canon in the Canon and HP in the HP.

It's pretty much the same as Epson Ultrachrome - I use it in my 4880 - which didn't clog when I used Epson inks and doesn't clog now with the Cone inks. The best part is you can buy ink in larger quantities and save a lot more than 20%. Only color I still use Epson for is photo black, which seems to be denser than the Cone - at least the last time I compared the two a couple of years ago.

So this comes only in bottles for filling cartridges?

Perhaps better than Epson? What's wrong with Epson? I use same printer and I find the Epson ink to be excellent ( have refilled printer 3 times and I always stay with Epson inks!

Haven't used Cone Ink, but I have used Cobra Ink in two Epson printers, my Photo 1400 and a smaller all-in-one.

The results are perfect, no change in color from the OEM, no clogging or fading.

I purchased re-fillable cartridges and ink for both machines.

Excellent prices and outstanding customer service.
