I took this while doing some setup preparations for (hopefully) a nice northern lights show later tonight. The goal? The longest exposure without star trails. This exposure was 15 seconds on a 28mm lens (f/3.5, ISO 500 - for completeness)
great shot Iosa , even the area of the Horsehead nebula ( M42 / M43 ). One of my friends was taking pictures last night thru his 10" telescope so I'm waiting to see how they came out .
Now, that's good -- i.e. I wish I had taken that picture and had it come out so well. (I don't have that reaction very often.)
