I know that this isn't what people usually think of, or photograph, but they do have a certain beauty if you look at them a few at a time; I sometimes wonder what we would think of them if they didn't volunteer to live in the middle of lawns, if we had to actually plant them.
The second picture is one I took as I headed out the door to take the first picture. I'm afraid that this robin's eggs are doomed by Darwin's Law. She usually leaves as soon as there is any activity anywhere near to her (in fact this is the first time I've seen her on the nest). She is between our front door and the garage door - and our house has no other exits with outward-facing locks. I took this picture using a 20+ year-old Vivitar lens that was a part of my mother's Canon EF-1 kit, which may explain the purple fringing; she left when I came back with the newer lens that I normally use for this kind of photography.
Dandelions are my favorite flower, that is because I am a mom, and have loving been given bouquets of them often. Beautiful detailed picture.
Dandelions are a gift. Some just don't receive them greatfully.
