I don't ever remember dumping anyone from my aircraft from 20 foot in the air unless they were repelling on a rope. Three foot maybe if for what ever reason we couldn't land because of uneven terrain.

No rope,did it several times. One time 10 feet to top of elephant grass and grass was 12 feet tall. Helmet came off hit me in the head.

I remember the elephant grass. I used my Huey as a lawn mower a couple times in that stuff when I didn't think it was that tall. I'm sure the Huey wasn't exactly designed for that or trimming the tops of palm trees either but it worked for both.
