Volunteer Pilots Save Shelter Dogs From Euthanasia By Flying Them To New Homes
Apr. 25, 2015

Each and every day, dogs wake up in an animal shelter only to be euthanized due to lack of room. This includes dogs of all ages, even pregnant dogs, new mothers and their newborn puppies. There are too many dogs and simply not enough room.
In 2009, Yehuda Netanel decided he was going to make a difference and help to stop this heartbreaking situation.

Totally AWESOME!!!

My shelter dog, Murphy, and I wish all those involved the best of luck and thank them for their great work getting these dogs to their new homes.

Best wishes to all the dogs. May you have long and happy lives!!

With all the Press coverage about the Bad People in this world, it is refreshing to see some Good People getting some coverage as well.

The only way - I rescued a little Chorkie at the Brunswick,GA facility. She is without doubt the best pet puppy I have ever had. 9 months old now and wide open - loves everybody and every thing. She was part of a 5 member litter and all went the same day.
Makes you feel good when they come up to you and let you know how much they love you.

It should be illegal to own a dog or cat that is not "fixed" without a breeding license.

Catgirl - I should have titled this topic Saviors, plural, because there are several pilots, with assistants, doing this commendable work, transporting dogs here and there to make them available for adoption to a greater number of people.

If you adopt a Dog or Cat from a licensed Rescue or shelter, they will be spayed and/or neutered ..

I brought a rescued dog from Illinois in 1958 to Florida... and since that time, we have had 42 dogs and 37 Cats... each and every one (except a Basinji I purchased in 1972) has been a rescue.. either from an agency or off the streets.... Loved each and every one of them and have a Pet Cemetery in the back yard with little grave stones.....

Mike... thank you for the Article..

my little Pixel had everything done to him at the shelter within a two week period, shots, surgery to pull all his teeth bar 6, he was very sick when he was picked up by the pound, luckily they partnered with Halo they also micro chipped him and gave a free month till you could change everything into your name, always have strays or ones that decide they don't know their way home lol
