After being part UHH since August, 24, 2011, I have decided to say good-by for many reasons. Initially I have gained some knowledge, shared my experiences and photos, and made some new friends. I think the Admin people who are responsible are not doing a very good job of listening to the users, and providing adequate controls for this forum. I have been finding more and more people getting obnoxious, not adhering to the rules, and really don't care if they do. I belong to other forums where these issues don't exist. So in the future, I'll being spending my time participating with these other forums. Good luck to all that stay with UHH, and I hope things improve. Arnold

thats just it they are i believe being obnoxious for thier personal intent just trying the obnoxious route for thier own amusement aragance all it is. threatening to leave but they never do. i hold nothing against management stepping in or not stepping in. in fact i admire him or them grant each of us frredom of speech. i dont think this is .GOV incoporated. it hasn't taken but a few words for me to see where they may be trying to drirect thier thoughts. i hold the option or continuing to research thier thoughts or hitting the back button. so is youre persuing to leave a good infomative educational photography website. i have noproblem with that why make a big to-do over it so it seems you are being just as they are being. should managament delete this thread an all i see is you are doing just what youre complaing about. so if youre leaving leave. bye bye HAVE A NICE LIFE!!!!!

My take on UHH is that I only join in the discussions that interest me and ignore the few people here that you wouldn't go have a beer with if you knew them in the flesh.

good post; I agree with you. I don't know why people have to say 'goodbye, I'm going.' If some one doesn't like something here, just stay in the background and look at all the good pictures that get posted here. Ignore the bad pix, bad comments, bad attitudes, yada yada..Who's gonna know if you are here or not; it's not as if some one takes attendance every day. I don't get it.

Quite. Most people here are pretty good. Those that aren't, or who want everyone else to run their lives according to their own narrow standards... Well, whose problem is that? Theirs, for having a Taliban mind-set, or mine, for being fool enough to take them seriously?

This is NOT directed at the OP, by the way. It's just a general observation about those on all forums who suffer from hardening of the categories, or from delusions of adequacy.

nothing wrong with giving or recieving respect it is alot eaiser to do both than play mind games.

Arnold, I really hate to see you go! I hope that those of us that receive your photos via personal e-mail will continue to do so. You and a handful of others are the first I look for on UHH for new postings. Best wishes and keep shooting those phenominal bird photos. I still believe you keep the GBH as a pet.
