Red Dust Storm in Sydney. Any Comments?

I saw a bit on TV about a massive red dust storm that hit Sydney a few years ago. The sky was red from horizon to horizon. Did any of you aussies witness that?

We had one in Melbourne Feb 1983.
It rolled in, in a cold front.
It looked like we'd been nuked.
It was brown trousers time for most that saw it coming.
My girlfriend worked an the 47th floor of a high rise
office tower. When she and others in the building saw
it coming they thought a nuke had gone off and were
going to be engulfed in the radio active shock wave.
I've only experienced it once in my lifetime, so maybe I witnessed something different from Mullumbies post.

My comment, WOW. Living in Phoenix we see dust storms from time to time but nothing like that.
