Can you guys or gals help me with editing this old photo of myself. My programs only get me so far.
Thanks in advance.

First off when you upload it check store original.

I did, but will send again.
It is a scan. Maybe that's why it can't store original.

It would be better if you scanned your old photo and uploaded it with checked store original box.

See if you can detach the picture from whatever it is mounted on and just scan the picture to create a better digital file to post.

I will do that. I will have to find the original.
Thank you.
I found out that if the photo file size is small when you upload it , it won't save the checked store original box . I am not talking about the photo dimensions , the file size . For example , file size 98kb , try to save scan at a high quality file size , like 1 mb or more .Then the checked store original box will allow you to save when posted . Hope this helps , Tommy

And you said you did, Jules... Is this a very small scan? As in: is the image you have on you computer small in number of pixels?
Because then checking 'store original' has no effect.
Looking at the image you posted, it strikes me as a print that is the same size as the negative.
In order to do any editing, I would scan it to be at least 1500 x 2100 pixels.
As the others have mentioned, it needs to be re-scanned at a higher resolution. You will want to set your Resolution at 300 DPI or even Higher. 600 would be most bestest.
This will increase the file size and will allow you to Store Original.

Here's the best I can do. Contrast is just too high to pull much out of the shadows or highlights.

This is the best what I could do.

The photo as posted has almost no details in the shadows. My posted photo shows total blacks in blue. You'll need something more than a 36kB file for any worthwhile editing.
