Just a few shoots from this past weekend at the Essex train station. Days gone bye.
Wheels waiting for cars
Looks like the end of the line for old #2
Just a little color
Tickets please
Very nice. I like what the HDR does to the B/W. Which program are you using?
Rhodge, Essex is a very cool place to shoot. I haven't been there in a while but am planning to go this spring /summer. I'm guessing that you were there in the later part of the day from looking at he shadows. I would like to see the images w/o HDR, is that possible?

Thank you for the nice comment, I use photomatix for all of my HDR photo, I haven't used it for many B&W photo but wanted to do something different.

Hi Roger
These were taken last Saturday late afternoon, it was wonderful, finally a nice day to shoot, it was also nice to be able to shoot with no distractions, not a soul was around, I had the place all to myself. Did you want me to post a few of the original here?

Used to live in Westbrook Ct. for awhile and loved visiting the Essex Train Station. Nice photos brought back a lot of memories

I was shooting at Westbrook town beach prior to the train station, fun childhood memories of my aunts cottage across from the beach. Glad you liked them.
Thank you to all that have commented and enjoyed my photos, I am still new here, but it a fun site to display and look at all the wonderful photo that are submitted every day, nice to see so many talented people in one place!
Very nice. I especially like the first image.
Never met a train i didn't like! Thanks. There's just something about them though that makes my brain go all gooey and forget about looking at pictures photographically and objectively, they're just all so great as a subject there's no way to comment except to be grateful that you shared them.

I think it the nostalgic feeling you get, that's why I like the black & white, or very little color to give that old time feeling. Thank you, it more fun when you can share with others.
