Stand alone or LRCC?

Who knows how to buy the stand alone version of LR 6? I for one will never go the CC route. Someone shared to us how to buy the stand alone. Adobe has kept this procedure a very difficult secret. So, the only problem with this purchase is simply.........no more updates......Boo Hoo.....As it stands, there are very few updates in 6 that are that significant. LR is the industry standard for post processing and version 5 is extremely powerful.......I purchased LR 6 stand alone today....haven't yet installed it as it was late but will do so soon. If you want to know the secret, send me a check for......oh, $35 and I will share Adobe's secret with you.............(I'm such an ego maniac).

I'm with you. The monthly outgo is something that holds no interest for me. If it makes you money you can write it off but I would prefer to use it when I want to use it and not feel compelled to just because it's a recurring fee.

You can buy a full one year subscription to CC for $99 at B&H and don't have to commit to a monthly payment. However you have to pay every year to renew. A pretty good deal if you like to have full support and the latest updates.

I'm not knocking it, it's just that have plenty of reocurring monthlies as it is. I can't think of anyone here who has the Cloud that doesn't like it but already have Photoshop CS6 Extended and don't have the time to mess with it so a subscription based program doesn't make sense for me.

I have CC on my PC and the Standalone (LR & PS) on my laptop. I am sure I will have to just have CC in the future, however right now I am trying both.
