Great pictures. I wonder how the rock in the second one became upright. They are all great. Thanks

Really great picture of HECETA. Makes sense centered as you have done it. Used a extreme wide-angle lens? Being in the right place and the right time and then knowing what to do.

Not your ordinary postcard pic of a lighthouse.

Thanks

It was funny, I hiked about 3/4 mile through the woods to get up and behind the lighthouse and stayed there until the sun had gone down. The terrain was quite steep and when I decided to leave it was DARK, Imagine that! I had to use my camera flash to get out. Kind of scary but definitely fun!

I know the feeling. I've done a lot of hiking/backpacking. A memorable one in the Cascades in late September. Some snow still on the groud from the last winter. Virtually no one else in the Park - except weird howling sounds in the night put me in mind of a bigfoot apparition. Like the Harry of the Hendersons. If so,would have been a happy encounter, I guess.
