I had earlier asked for help for solving my Sigma vignette issues and had a lot of solutions posted. I was asked to post my findings when the problem was identified. This is the response I received from one of Sigma repair sites (CRIS): AFTER CONSULTING WITH SIGMA USA REGARDING THIS ISSUE, THE LEVEL OF VIGNETTING PRESENT HAS BEEN FOUND TO BE WITHIN MANUFACTURER'S SPECIFICATIONS
SEE ENCLOSED DOCUMENT (VIGNETTING TABLES) FOR DETAILED INFORMATION NO PROBLEM FOUND Contemporary | 18-300mm F3.5-6.3 DC ... - SIGMA GLOBAL …

I had another photographer from a local photography club use my lens with the same problem. We both have D7100. When I used his Nikon zoom lens I had no issues. When he used my lens he encountered the same vignette problems. These were the settings we experienced vignette issues-18mm 3.5 aperture and 1/60 shutter; 48mm 4.8 1/4; 82mm 5.3 1/500; 50mm 4.8 1/25; 46mm 4.5 1/250; 38mm 4.2 1/250; 92mm 5.3 1/250 etc….. I will just have live with it and deal with problem in pp. It was not polarizer problem- just the lens.

Is this the new Sigma 18-300mm F3.5-6.3 DC Macro C (Contemporary)? If so, it is the same lens I recently purchased to replace my 18-250. I will be following this topic closely. I did have some minor vignetting issues with my old lens but thought it might have been a badly connected lens hood. Were you using a hood?

You mention no ISO settings. Usually, the higher it goes, the greater the vignetting.

Not the expert, but I would think that the higher the ISO, the smaller the lens opening (as less light would be needed on the sensor) and therefore less affect vignetting??
