I cropped this piece from a photo I had taken. I always make a copy of the original shot and this time I made 2 and cropped the part I wanted first, then cropped out the excess which was the leaves. I thought the angles and spaces might produce something interesting in PP. So here is what I got out of it.

Another Andy Warhol! Print 'em all and hang 'em on the wall.

Thank you so much! I have lots and lots of these type of abstracts most all of them using photos that were not worth a hoot!

Wouldn't give you 2 cents for the first shot, but after that pricelessly beautiful.... learn to sign Warhol signature and sell!! Then, move to a country without extradition.

Yes, many can not see nor appreciate the pleasure and stimuli of abstract art. such is life!

What PP software did you use?

Reminds me of a time in the 60's when I used to take the little paint jars for painting models airplanes and throw them against a piece of plywood with a white background...just love um. Oh those 60's :)

'Worth a hoot' depends on who's doing the hooting, lol. Nice job, Corolyn. Great oolor! You should have a nice chat with Creativ Simon...

I have an Apple computer with Preview. When you pull up a photo you click on Tools and it has a color correction with all the sliders and clicks to change things like saturation, cool or warm, light or dark, contrast, exposure, sepea, sharpness, and at the top a slider with 3 arrows. To the left is one if you slide it right, darkens the shot. If you slide the right one left you get lighter and the middle one is your mid tones. But if you switch the left on all the way right and the right one all the way left you get reverse coloration (i.e. yellow to blue) It takes many sets of these corrections to get what you see in this. Each time you make a change you have to get out of the tools and then get back in again and start over. Hope that explained it. I am not conversant with photo terms. Have learned a few but mostly I just use them without knowing their names or the terms to go with different actions.

Thank you so much Randy. Have already exchanged conversation with Simon. He does his one way and I do mine another. He knows the technical stuff and has all sorts of expensive equipment to get the effects he does. Me…I just play with what little program I have on my Mac.

Yes, indeed, but I am a PC Windows 7 guy. The nearest in Topaz is "Restyle." In regular edit programs one would use color exchange.

I enjoy what you have done, betcha that this type of art would sell while someones conventional "nice" photography would draw mildew. Keep up the good work. Indeed, it is good work.

Thank you so much for the encouragement. I would love to find a way to sell my "work" but have no marketing skills.

Absolutely, and got paid for it...I used to do hand lettering and if I were doing something for restaurants, like menus etc. it was usually prior to the Grand Opening, if there was a blank wall/area, I would suggest either specials boards or splash boards (what I called them). It was fun... :)
