I bought an "ape case" on Amazon. It fits the tamron 150-600 even with the lens hood attached. Nicely padded and the price was reasonable. Good luck. Just an Amazon search for APE CASES and you should be able to find it. Hope this helps.

Mine came in a Lowepro 13X 32 CM lens case. They go for around $42 at B&H, very well cushioned with filter pockets.

The Lowepro LC5 fits it perfectly, with tripod collar attached and lens hood reversed. Many others will not let the hood be attached.

Buy a Nest gimbal head from MT Shooter.
Put head on tripod and never remove (mine hasn't been off in 3 months).
Put lens in case the head came in. Come to that the lens hasn't been off the tripod in 3 months either.
Works for me. Great gimbal head and a case for the lens in one deal.
