Nakomis Jetty Closeup

I was visiting my parents in Venice, Florida for my mom's 80th birthday a few weeks ago and one of the places we went to was Nakomis which is just to the North. I found this rock that had some really neat coloration and lineage.

Good shots of a neat rock. Nice area, Venice and Nakomis, Venice beach is a great place for sharks teeth

Nice pictures! There are some wonderful patterns in nature -- all one has to do is look.

It looks like discoloration from the algae that grow on the jetties - NJ has the same things. They're okay when they're dry, but take loads of caution when they're wet - it's very slippery! "Nuf Said"!
