If you come back to it (logged in of course), I believe you can edit and add to it for about an hour. After that initial edit time, you can not got back to the original message. You can start a new message and use a link to previous messages if you want to refer to it, but that's not what your asking I suspect.
You will not be posting to the original message, although you can post to the thread and add further new postings within the thread. Just not as a part of the original post you made.

I trust that you have already found this place very helpful and enjoyable.
Just a few helpful hints that I have learned that might further help you.
1. To answer a comment click on the "quote reply" under the post of the comment you are reading... It will address your comment automatically To that individual.
2. Click on a person's highlighted name on their avatar (their picture) and it will take you to their page. On that page... Click on the highlighted "number of topics created" and you can view their work.
3. While you're on that page add them to a "Buddy List" if you like their work. You can check your buddies list from the top of any page by clicking on "buddy list"
4. Always Avail yourself with the download on a post... Often there is so much more in the download.
