Thank you docrob for taking the time to look at my pictures. I know I didn't do the Mt. real justice--wished I'd had the longer lens with me. I appreciate the encouragement.

I like the second one the best as is closer and the 2 trees are framing the mountain. Thanks for sharing.

Beautiful - thanks for sharing. Just wondering if cropping another inch off of the left side would help by emphasizing the right tree and mountain just a bit more.

I personally like the second photo that is cropped ; I think it makes the mountain stand out better and adds a lot more to your overall picture and the colors seem richer on the cropped version, nice picture !

Thank you all for looking at my pictures and commenting on them. I like the cropped version best myself. Still wish I'd had the longer lens with me.

I am going to try a couple different versions of the crop. Sometimes I get one idea stuck in my head and stop there. Thank you for suggesting another idea--I will try it.

Both are nice shots although I prefer the second one. The forested area partially hides the mountain. Is there any vantage point that you can get a higher elevation so that you can see more of the mountain? I take a lot of Mt Rainier and find that location for the photographer can make significant changes in the appearance of the mountain. If you can capture the foothills in front of the mountain, it makes the photo much more dramatic.

I believe there are spots within Baxter State park that allow a better vantage point for photographing the mountain. This was a view driving from Medway to Millinocket. I hope to get into the park while there is still snow on the mountain. Right now, I believe the only way into the park is with a snowmobile which I don't do!

I like the photos, #2 (cropped) a little better. Only thing I would add is that I think they slant a little to the left ... check the straightening tool for level ... just a tad.

Good eye--it does seem to slant just a tad--I will fix that!
