This English walnut became impaled on the fence during a wind storm on 6/17/2014 . The second shot is it's still hanging on there...shot 4/6/2015 ( new type time lapse)...

That's not something you will see everyday. In the plains of Colorado, wind is very likely to remove something in just the same way it was impaled. :)

The wind was well over 30mph ...the tree is on the side of a hill right on the edge of my yard...

Your time lapse is interesting for sure but the wind here is a bit different. This time of year, 70 mph winds are not uncommon and there isn't much to stop it where we are. If it isn't heavy or tied down, you don't own it for long...

I understood that ...moved back to the valley long time back . Came through Col. and stopped at a service station . There was no office apparently it was down the road a piece...the attendant said it was a light breeze....as if...lol...
