Ohhh I love Austria, I lived there for 11 years, in Mayrhofen near Innsbruck, Kitzbeuhel and Salzburg. A stunning country in all seasons. I miss it. What part were you from? Don't want to rob this thread though. Czech Republic is a country we want to visit, can't wait to take some shots in Prague.

I hope Ivan wouldn't mind, I was born and went to school in Rennweg am Katschberg, about one hours drive south of Salzburg.

Absolutely love the third one, as always, 5 stars. Well, I was your neighbor, I am a native of Austria, but I left in the early 50ts as I was afraid of the commies, never looked back, the best decision I ever made. Love my adopted country.

I have a soft spot for Austria because that is where I became free.I spent over a month in Vienna before heading for the US.
Thanks,Ivan.

That must be a very interesting story!
BTW, we drove through Cesky Raj area on our way from Prague to Zittau and beyond. Beautiful. Wish we could have meandered longer there; must go back.

Did not realize just how beautiful that country really was... Is this the country of your first launage Ivan ???

Yes, I am an "Euro American" born in Prague. Czechoslovakia/Czech Republic was always beautiful but under the Communist rule the life was very ugly there.Thanks,Ivan.

Beautiful images.
I visited Prague last year and was overwhelmed. Amazing city and exceptionally frendly people.

To see Cesky Raj you must hike, no roads lead to the really interesting areas.Too bad you did not have more time but I am sure the rocks will wait for you in the future.Thanks,Ivan.

Glad to hear that. Czechs had always soft spot for the US even when the Communist government kept brainwashing the population for 41 years that Americans were the scum of the Earth.Thanks,Ivan.

Yes, I realized that when I saw your photos. it truly is too bad we did not have more time.
We did see and hike in similar formations just across the border in the "Saxon Alb" (Meissen-Dresden area). It is, after all, the continuation of the Bohemian side.
