Mingling with the herd.
I was on my way home from the marsh yesterday, when I saw a few members of the local deer herd grazing in a field. It was such a pleasant day that I decided to walk in and join them. My method is to approach very slowly and then sit down in the field and allow them to approach me since they're quite inquisitive. If they've never seen you before, this method isn't likely to work. I also noticed that they are still browsing, in addition to grazing, so they must need that mixture of bark and grass.

Great captures, Joe. The natural framing on the last one really makes the shot. ;-)

Thank you so much. Notice how the back door is open for a quick escape should one be required.
