First, I am posting this to the General Photography discussion only because it appears to be the most widely read of the groups and I want this to go to as many people as possible.

Although I've been a member of Ugly Hedgehog for a relatively short time, I am saddened and appalled at the back-biting and rude attacks on minor things I have seen here. One in particular: Sinatraman's blast at the new member over her avatar. For god's sake, S, who the hel named you site censor? For one thing, I saw absolutely nothing wrong with her avatar. At least, I am assuming it is her you directed your venom toward, since you failed to identify your target. Get a life, sir. Your statement that it violates the site rules is pure bunk, and I think you know it.

This is but one example, but it is the final one. I am terminating my membership here. For a site that purports to be friendly and supportive, I have noted a tremendous amount of animosity, better-than-thou attitude, and just plain rudeness. I am done with it.

In the descriptiopn of this site listed in the rules ( you know things everyone has to obey) it clearly states family friendly. as for censoring, there are a gazillion sites where the op can go to peddle filth,he actually has talent to do real portraits as i told him. there are so few cleam mayberry sites available. I will continue to police this site and stand up for decency and old time american values. din't like it ? tough good bye and good ridance. there is never an excuse to post sexist or racist photos at any time. Sorry if I feel that women are more than a slab of meat, or a collection of body parts, but as children of God they are worthy of being treated with respect and dignity.

LMAO!!! I was thinking the same thing, and I completely agree with donrent as well. I love this site. There are times when someone gets a little nasty, but you have to take it with a grain of salt, and that is not directed toward you Sinatraman I am clueless to the post the person is referring to.

I'm not familiar with the incident that you are referring to, but I find it strange that it is you and not the person whose avatar was commented on that is complaining. Of course you have the right to quit and if you are as deeply offended as you seem to be then maybe that is a right you should exercise. Though I think you could have expressed your dissatisfaction with out resorting to rudeness, animosity and a better-than-thou attitude.

This is Steve from Milwaukee tappin' the keys. The best thing you can do is to stay with U.H. and do what I've done my entire life; IGNORE THEM! Nothing says you have to except anyone's opinion about anything. If you like it, respond to it; if not, don't say any thing. You pick your friends and things will go alot better in the long run.

How much does any of it matter? A lot of people think I'm an arrogant ignoramus. Fortunately, quite a few find that it's worth putting up with that in return for the modest amount that I do know.

Ignore the people you don't like, and try to avoid insulting them because it'll only make matters worse. Read the people you do like, and even praise them when it's deserved, as it'll help keep them in the forum.
