there was a bill where the US government basically mails out a completed tax form to every taxpayer... The taxpayer can just sign it or amend it as they see fit...
Would have saved $billions... but accountants and TurboTax lobbyists defeated the measure.

c'mon, they have your W2s and 1099s, every taxable penny you owe. They know how many dependents you had last year...

So what is wrong with a post card where you put what you made and multiply that by an established percentage and mail it in two weeks before the national e******n? EVERYBODY!
