His appeal extended beyond NJ until his love affair with Obama.
His "appeal" doesn't even extend to NJ anymore. They are ashamed and tired of him. While Christie and his family were frolicking on the beach with their "Bigger Than The Storm" (campaign) ad, many citizen's homes were still a total mess because oops! what happened to the Sandy funds.
His boisterous, repugnant personality wouldn't fly with foreign countries or any kind of negotiation. Plus, he's changed sides on a lot of core Republican beliefs so he'd align with the radicals on the "right."
Totally inappropriate for president...

I understand that you could never support a Republican based on the core beliefs of the party but is there one Republican that you see as the cream of the crop? Just curious.

I can't think of a one, they all walk pretty much in lockstep. They have to in order to have an appeal to the radicals. Unless I'm wrong, I think it's all over but the shouting, in other words, who Jeb will choose as a VP. If Rubio was not from FL, Jeb and Rubio would be your ideal ticket. You follow the money in politics, Jeb has the most, I predict he'll be the next president.

NO! Hillary will walk in to the White House. They might have to add a wing for all of her "baggage". I'd v**e for Dr. Ben Carson if I had the chance.

No, eventually Jeb will backtrack on Common Core and immigration, he will win.

This will get me in trouble with my conservative friends but the only Bush I'd v**e for is Barbra.

Unfortunately, I see Christie and Clinton as the respective creams of each party...
it's going to be a sour e******n.

Ditto, she's for women's rights. John has the moolah with him tho.
Rubio is probably the smartest, he talks better then anybody I have even listened to and without a teleprompter. Ben Carson is honest and smart. Both Patriots believing in what the country has stood for and the opportunitties it has givien them... not like the current i***t at all.
He biggest, probably career ending statement was that Prison causes people to turn Gay. That was mis-worded, but if you read the context, his meaning is true. This is the sound-bite era, where parts of a sentence are more important then what the person was saying. It's all about manipulation.
Prison certainly does make people do things they normally would not, especially when the strongest instinct of man is prevented for decades at a time. All sorts of things become acceptable when you have no other outlet or opportunity. Ie in the prison movie Papillion, prison turned people into rat and insect eaters and murderers, etc., something they wouldn't normally be. Yep that's a movie, so was Schindler's list and the stuff they did to survive, and the Donner party was turned by circumstances into cannibals, so I can imagine Papillion is believable. Why is sex among forced homogenous populations (Inmates) any different, we all know it happens often and commonly, yet I don't think gays have a particular preponderance to violent crime.
So while I don't see this statement as the deal breaker it has been made out to be, however, all the people who turn a blind eye to the multitudes of Hillary's actual crimes have harped on it. He isn't the right "color" black after all.
I could trust either. Hmmmmm I would trust a Black guy or a Cuban to be president... and they are both Republican- must mean I am a r****t..nope strike that, not in vogue, the Orwellian double speak adjustment is now that Republicans, fielding a much more "colorful" field of people running for president, are now ALL Sexists!!

Rubio and Paul are exciting, but when all is said and done, the republicans will put up another old white guy... or else another old white guy wannabe.
