I think most every one will tell you to get rid of the date and
time on your photo it compleatly kill's your photograph. The
first thing you see is that yellow date and time sticking out
like a pair of white shoes with a tuxedo,It dont go together.

I have since removed the time and date stamps from my photos, but what about the pictures themselves? Any comments on them?

The first & third photos have issues with tonal values, meaning there's little contrast difference anywhere in the photo.
I think the photos are very good, the 3nd one has the
post out of focus but you can get rid of that, think you did
a good job.Did not mean to be rude but that date and time
drives me crazy, so many great photos are wasted because
of that. you did good .photonut

Thank you for your input.
The third photo was literally taken on a train out of El Paso to LA. And as a side note - I'd only had the camera about 2 days when we left.
I know how that is,I got a new one about a year ago and
if I got one good one out of twenty I thought I was doing
good .Im sure you have got the hang of the new camera
now, just so much to learn.photonut
For me these pictures are just snap shots.they really have no interesting ssubject matter. The mountain shot can probably be saved with some cropplng

You don't need to excuse your photos. That's the greatest thing about this new forum, everybody's here to genuinely lear & get better. Keep shooting. :)
Mahma,
Look at photos that you see that you do like and try to figure out what you like about them, composition, exposure, subject matter, etc.
I agree that these are just snapshots.
Research the three above topics and post some more photos soon, that is how we all improve.
Eric
I ask the open question, What's wrong with snapshots"? IMHO Nothing!
Bob you took the words right out of my mouth.photonut
First tings fourst, find a point of view
When posting my opinions about photographs I try to find something good about them, pay a compliment on that, then move on to suggestions on how to improve, You don't learn a thing from negative, unproductive comments,
