Welcome, I am new too. I just love turtles and this one is soooo cool.
These pics work for me. I would invest in a Circular Polarizer to help remove some of the glare off the water.

All three shots are good shots. But since you asked for possible improvement ideas:
I like the first shot best. Nice close-up. Can't see much I'd do differently on this one.
2nd shot could have been helped by a circular polarizer to reduce the reflection off the water and make the shell stand out better. CP filter might reduce some of the blown out front of the turtle, but you might still want to shut down the aperture a little if the camera tries to compensate for the CP.
3rd shot seems a little too mono-chromatic. The water and turtle shell are both dark. Maybe cropping off the back of the turtle? Maybe if you slightly slower on the shutter or more open on the aperture? I'm thinking a different angle might be what's needed. At this angle, I'd go for a close-up of the head/neck area.
