I had been waiting for this documentary about photographer Sebastiao Selgado to hit the theaters since it was nominated for a best documentary oscar for last year. It finally opened in San Francisco and I saw it today. I had long admired Selgado's work, but I didn't know much about him. I thought it was one of the best documentaries about a photographer I have seen. It was directed by his son Juliano Ribeiro Salgado and the great German filmmaker Wim Wenders. I'm sure it will be available online, but if you get the chance to see it in a theater don't pass it up. Seeing his work on the big screen was amazing.
