I took this shot of a tree frog around the edge of my pond this morning.

The first photo is slightly cropped and the others are the same photo cropped tighter.

Comments are what I'm looking for regarding the quality of the image, focus, PP, etc.

Which one appeals to you the most?

Slightly cropped from the original

I like the second, heavily cropped image the best since we can see the animal's entire body in context with the reed (grass?) it is climbing. Very cool.

Silvermeteor, to be taken in the best possible way.

If you are specifically after critique then maybe you should post in the "Photo Critique Section". Only one photo at a time tho'. I tried 2 & I got a "only one, only one". :)

I posted them there also. Guess I'll get a nasty gram too because I wanted an opinion on which was liked better. lol

I posted here because my original post was concerning focus with my tele. I took images of some F-16's in the air and they are NOT nearly as crisp as these.

If I could get images of the aircraft that were this crisp I would be jumping for joy.

I had posted some images above of a Navigate container a variety of mm and all seemed reasonably crisp although there were no comments as I recall.

I am beginning to think that my problem is not with close ups or medium range but long range. Now I have to determine if I am at fault and how to fix it or if it might be something else.

Super sharp shots, even when cropped. Yes the second One for me as well, as it shows the whole frog..well done.

Thank you.

That was at max tele too. I've heard that you should not use a lens at full magnification because the images tend to soften but I am happy with these.

Boy how I want to hear and see the same results at a 100 yds.

I like #1 because it shows the perspective of the frog and the shaft he is holding onto. All three are great. Thanks for sharing.
