Hi there, great shot! I'm curious to know by what means is your 40D attached to the telescope? How much could one anticipate spending to for a set up like this? Are there other scopes out there as well?

Chris

Nice shot for 10MP. I've heard 10-18 MP's make for better long exposure cameras because the Sensor doesn't heat-up as much. Causing hot pixels and noise. What stacker will you use PS?

It all depends on the telescope and how you plan to shoot.
This is the first kit that I picked up so that I could do afocal (no lens) and eye piece projection. The ad pretty much explains it. The optical part also threads onto my Celestron Newtonian when the snout is removed.
Scopes can be the price of a good digital camera depending on what you plan to shoot. I was warned not to get an SCT and to go Refractor but I get really great shots with my SCT's and now have 3 of them. I have one Refractor and 1 Reflector.

ISO is limited and I plan to start using my 5D Mark II to see how it does. No crop so it will be what it is.
Stacking? Did I mention that I haven't figured that out yet?
Oh wait, yes I have. ;) ;)
I don't know yet. planning on trying some different things soon.
