Lots of people and lots of reflections..but had a ball, visited with friends I haven't seen in a while and had FUN!!! So it was a good day, and I got a couple "keepers" out of my camera.

As was the Plymouth Duster.
I had a Vega. There was a 1200 page recall book on this car. Mine was on 1100 of them.

When Vega's first came out there was only one per dealership. My (then) father-in-law bought a new car from the same dealership every two years without fail. He was able to help us buy the one the dealership had (but had to wait about 6-8 weeks while they were in production. Ours was a tan color. When I remarried, hubby had a plymouth Duster. Thats the car I learned to drive a manual transmission on. We were on a road trip from Chicago to Florida and on the way home he pulled off the road... and said "OK you drive now".. I started laughing..... he was serious. I did pretty good until we got to a little town where I had to make a right turn then uphill and stop for railroad tracks..... we must have sat there 5 minutes before I would attempt to go over them, waving all other traffic around me. What he had failed (or intentionally left out) was the fact that you cal begin to let the clutch out as you step on the gas... I'm a quick learner and after that he threatened to take the car away from me cause I drove it like the guys like to. Now I have a 2010 Dodge Charger and boy do I love that car !!!!!

Hey hey! Don't knock the Matador... my Mom had one and we thought we were hot STUFF... riding all over the place with Jethro Tull cranked! *snickers*
My Dad had a gremlin.
And in my list of "cars I've owned"... aside from a 1970 Galaxy 500... I've had a chevy chevette AND a pinto hatchback... yanno.. the ones that had a nasty habit of spontaneously combusting! LMAO
And I'm off on a tangent now so give me a moment to redirect please *blush*.
Thanks :)

Jealous!!! I'm jealous... ;)
Although if it has a shifty-thing... I'm glad it's yours and not mine LOL
I had to learn on an old dodge something-or-other, that was mine free if I could drive it home.
The shifty-thing was on the steering column. I made it 20-miles... home.. then promptly gave it to my step-mom LMAO
Love the old rust buckets!
