Google Abe's of Maine reviews.
I ordered a used D7100 from them through Amazon this morning. Their rating was 5 stars for the past 12 months, 92% positive for 18000 ratings. I ordered with confidence, hope I wasn't wrong. This camera is supposed to be a purchase return with zero clicks and accessories still wrapped. Probably won't see it before the 16th. I'll report back at that time. Fingers crossed! Almost forgot, $749 with free shipping.
I think they are less likely to try and screw you through Amazon. Too big an outlet. Good luck.

I believe they're on Rte. 22 in the Somerville area of NJ.
For several years they were located in the Raritan Center, a business park in Edison, NJ. However a recent search shows they are now in Linden NJ. Beach Camera is on Rte. 22 around 7 or 8 miles from Somerville. Perhaps you were thinking of them

I found the camera and gear I want to buy at a very good price at Abe's of Maine. Does anyone have experience purchasing from them? Has anyone returned anything to them? It's a new Canon so I ask is it really new? Is it grey market? Is it kosher?
Wow lots of negative here. I can only say that I have used them for many years. I get what I want in reasonable time. And yes they do try to sell you additional things but that called up-selling and every store, restaurant, coffee house will do the same, for example (want fries with that). It their job and most store owners will fire an employee if they don't.
I like them and I'll keep using them. They provide good service and yes I did have to return something once and I had no problem.
They are a Canon dealer and they do not sell grey market.
Here is the answer:
Westpark Electronics LLC
D/B/A Abe's of Maine
1805 Lower Road
Linden, NJ 07036
info@abesofmaine.com
The name was probably purchased out of the bankruptcy. That is deceptive enough to warn me off.

Neither Westpark or Abe's are on Canon's list of authorized dealers.

The definitely used to be a Canon dealer. I live near the store and bought a lot of gear there in the past. However, I checked the Canon dealer list for 2015 yesterday and Abe's of Maine is no longer on it.

As a large school district supervisor of media, I recommended and bought photography and video equipment, every year, by the tens of thousands of dollars from Abe's. That's been years ago. Always good prices and service. No BS. Now, only the name remains. Reviews of experiences are horrid.
Don't go near Abes. Plenty of legit online dealers. B&H., amazon. Etc
I Live in vail co. No big box stores. Ordered a 55" samsung lcd. TV. They had the balls to show up with a Bravia telling me it was a better deal. Then I had to almost take them to court to get refund. They invented internet bait and switch

My experience tells me: DON'T !!! use B&H--- much better service, trustworthy-ness, customer relations, etc.!!!
I also looked into them and found the same thing all over the web.
I just bought a nice camera from Cameta. Went well. Good price. Best I could find, except for a few like Abe's that are not dealers and have terrible reviews. Free shipping.
I've purchased from them on several occasions with no problems. They did try to upsell one time, but I politely refused and they politely accepted my refusal.
