I have not purchased from them. Yet.
But everything I hear is positive.
Bought two bodies from them and they were exactly as described. Cosmetically they were better than rated. Currently considering them for a medium format film camera. Highly recommended source.

I purchased a 120 roll film Fuji rangefinder from them.... It was in "like new" condition.

They are an excellent source -- great to do business with them. You get a really good idea of the condition of an item from their classification of it so pay attention to that. If it says EXC it really is excellent, etc.
Another rave review of KEH... I've been buying from them occasionally for many, many years and see them at local shows from time to time, buying gear. They are highly dependable. Right up there with the Used Depts. at Adorama, B&H, Henry's in Canada and some other long-established used equip. dealers.
You can probably find the same stuff for a little less money off eBay or Craigslist or from independent sellers on Amazon, etc... But you won't have an experienced professional testing and evaluating the gear before selling it to you and will rarely get a warranty, the way you will with KEH and the other used equip. dealers.

KEH is the best for used photo equipment.

I bought my used Canon 50D rated EX from them last year. It was priced under the ABC people and it arrived in what I'd call mint condition.
My rep was knolwledgable and helped me decide. I'll use them again.
Just placed another order with KEH for a Mamiya 645 Pro TL Body and film back. I completely trust these guys.

I have bought from and sold to KEH. Happy on both accounts.

I didn't see this mentioned, but their rating system is very conservative. I have purchased items listed as just "good" which is in the middle of their ratings, and they came looking brand new.
I also like them, because they will actually warranty the stuff you buy from them to work for 90 days, try getting that with ebay.

I should have added the warranty info.

I've had the same experience -- e.g., bought a used film camera from KEH with Exc+ rating and it looked like it was brand new out of the box. (also works like new!)
I have sold camera bodies and lenses, and bought lenses from KEH over a period of years. Since they are in the Atlanta area I have the option to drop off equipment I will to sell for evaluation. I also have the option to pick up camera equipment I have bought from them. I think the evaluation of equipment is usually correct as far as condition of equipment.
